3D CAD Industrial Designer

The Role

You will create detailed 3D CAD models with organic shapes and complex surfaces, and turn product ideas into production-ready files. This is a part-time, remote role, paid hourly.

What You Will Do

• Design and model new products from first concept to manufacturing-ready CAD
• Build organic shapes, complex surfaces, textures and ergonomic geometry
• Create fully editable parametric models with clean design history
• Prepare production-ready STEP files with accurate solid and surface geometry
• Design with laser cutting, CNC milling and machining in mind

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in 3D CAD and industrial product design
• Strong parametric CAD skills (feature-based design, assemblies, editable solids and surfaces)
• Advanced surface and organic modeling
• Practical knowledge of design for manufacturing, especially laser cutting and CNC
• Experience taking consumer products from concept to production
• Fluent written and spoken English

Nice to Have

• Experience designing hand tools or metal consumer products
• SolidWorks and/or CATIA
• Prototyping, material selection and production optimization
