ServiceJobSite.com is owned and operated by ServiceJobSite, based in the Philippines. We act as the Personal Information Controller for the data collected through this platform.

Information you provide directly

  • Employer data: Company name, work email, and job listing details (for employers)
  • Communications: Messages you send us via the contact form
  • Waitlist data: Email address and account type (job seeker or employer) when joining the waitlist

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, links clicked, search queries, and time spent on the platform
  • Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL
  • Session data: Authentication tokens stored in cookies to keep you logged in

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Display your profile to relevant employers (with your consent)
  • Send transactional emails — such as account confirmation, waitlist notifications, and updates related to your use of the platform
  • Match job seekers with relevant remote job opportunities based on their skills and preferences
  • Process and respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form
  • Monitor and improve the performance, security, and features of the platform
  • Comply with legal obligations under Philippine law, including the Data Privacy Act

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without your explicit consent.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service providers to operate the platform. Each acts as a Personal Information Processor on our behalf and is bound by appropriate data processing agreements:

  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure. Stores your account data, profile, and saved jobs. Data may be hosted in data centers outside the Philippines.
  • Remotive & Jobicy — third-party job listing APIs. Job search queries may be sent to their servers to retrieve listings. No personal account data is shared with these providers.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for the purpose of sending you emails you have requested or consented to.
  • Vercel — website hosting and deployment infrastructure. Web traffic and server logs may be processed by Vercel.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers for more detail on how they handle data.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform. Specifically:

  • Authentication cookies: Set by Supabase to maintain your login session. These are strictly necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled while you are logged in.
  • Preference cookies: May be used in future to remember your filter and search preferences.

We currently do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required by law, seek your consent.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may prevent you from staying logged in.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specifically:

  • Account data: Retained until you request deletion of your account
  • Resume and profile data: Retained until you remove it from your profile or delete your account
  • Contact form submissions: Retained for up to 12 months for reference and follow-up
  • Server and usage logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes

After the applicable retention period, we securely delete or anonymize your data. We may retain certain data longer if required by law.

7. Your Rights Under the Data Privacy Act

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Right to be informed: You have the right to know what personal data we collect and how it is used — which this policy addresses.
  • Right to access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction: You may request that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected.

  • Right to data portability: You may request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: You may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines if you believe your rights have been violated.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. These include:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure authentication managed by Supabase, including password hashing and session token management
  • Access controls limiting which personnel can access user data

No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected users and the National Privacy Commission in accordance with RA 10173.

9. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers (including Supabase, Resend, and Vercel) may store or process data outside the Philippines. Where this occurs, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with the requirements of the Data Privacy Act and NPC regulations on cross-border data transfers.

10. Children's Privacy

ServiceJobSite.com is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at marquis@servicejobsite.com and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of ServiceJobSite.com after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
