Freelance Book Designer (cover/interior)

We’re looking for talented book designers to help authors bring their books to life. We welcome experienced professionals in cover design, interior layout, typography, illustration, or production management.

As a freelance designer on Reedsy, you'll collaborate directly with authors in the genres you choose to work in. You'll be expected to understand their vision, guide them with your knowledge of design trends and industry standards, and deliver work that meets a high professional bar.

To maintain the quality of work on our platform, we carefully vet every professional before they join. If approved, you'll become visible to thousands of authors seeking top-tier design talent. From there, you’ll start receiving project requests tailored to your skills and preferences.

You will choose which projects to take on, set your own rates, and manage your availability for new work. Contracts and payments are automatically handled so you can stay focused on your craft.

Requirements

- 3+ years of design experience.

- Experience on at least 5 published books.

- A strong portfolio with quality designs for print and/or digital supports.
